The decline of Mule deer in the Mountain states has made drawing a tag difficult and expensive in most areas and where you can draw a tag in less than 5 years the hunting is marginal for average deer at best. Nebraska offers a great opportunity to hunt Mule Deer in a managed private environment where we stress quality and not quantity. We only hunt 10 hunters a year on over 10,000 game managed acres by all methods. We have had 100% shooting for all methods over the last 3 years and 100% harvest for rifle hunter during the same period. Our hunting area consist of cedar canyons, open grass lands and numerous crop fields. This adds up to great deer numbers and bucks that are well fed and carry racks of above average mass. Nebraska deer tags are either species(we have about 5% whitetails) and primitive hunters receive a bonus whitetail doe tag which we encourage all our hunters to fill when they are done trophy hunting.
The Rifle Hunt This hunt takes place in mid-November and offers outstanding hunter success for excellent bucks! We limit the number of rifle hunters each year to 5 in order to maintain our quality standards. This is a great hunt during the rut that is sure to provide a lot of action! Hunt is 4 days semi-guided and includes 4 nights lodging, transportation in the field and a field lunch. $3195.00 including all licenses and tags!!
The Black Powder Hunt The season runs from December 1-31 and gives hunters a good shot at some of our best bucks when feeding in crop circles and fields. While the temperature can be a little cool this just makes the big guys get out a little earlier. We see some of the biggest bucks of the year late in December when they are back into bachelor groups and are moving long distances to feed. Hunt is 4 days semi-guided and includes 4 nights lodging, transportation in the field and a field lunch. $2795.00 including all licenses and tags!!
The Archery Hunt Hunters can chase big Sand Hill Mulies in the peak of the rut when they are the most vulnerable. Our archery rut hunters see lots of all day rutting action and typically see 50 to 100 deer a day. The unique nature and geography of the Sand Hills combined with great cedar cover gives archers an above average chance to take a good buck within reasonable shooting distances usually less than 35 yards. Hunt is 4 days semi-guided and includes 4 nights lodging, transportation in the field and a field lunch. $2795.00 including all licenses and tags!!
